Conflict Management Training Course in Ghana

Classroom cohorts in Accra · live online · in-house anywhere in Ghana

Friction between team members, managers and departments is normal, but left unaddressed it turns into absenteeism, poor service and lost talent. The week starts with how workplace disagreements arise from competing goals, unclear roles, scarce resources and personality differences, and how they escalate. Communication sessions cover assertive language, active listening, giving and receiving difficult feedback and choosing the right moment and setting for a conversation. You then work on managing emotions, your own and other people's, with techniques for staying calm, defusing anger and handling passive-aggressive or hostile behaviour.

Negotiation and problem-solving days apply interest-based approaches, joint option generation and agreed action plans to typical workplace disputes. The final day focuses on prevention: team agreements, clear processes, early intervention and leadership habits that make collaboration the norm. Because it is run in-house, scenarios and role-plays can be built around the actual tensions and working relationships in your organization. Supervisors, managers, HR officers, team leaders and staff who frequently deal with colleagues or the public will learn to address disagreements early and constructively, before they harden into formal grievances.

About this course

This practical and interactive training focuses on helping participants manage workplace conflicts constructively and maintain positive professional relationships. The course explores conflict sources, communication methods, negotiation approaches, emotional intelligence, problem-solving techniques, and conflict prevention strategies. Participants will gain practical skills for addressing disagreements and promoting cooperation in the workplace.

Throughout the programme, participants work through realistic scenarios drawn from public sector institutions, private enterprises, development organizations, and regulated professional environments, examining how conflict management is applied in practice and where it most often breaks down. Delegates will develop practical skill in designing appropriate frameworks, selecting and applying the right tools for negotiation and problem-solving, interpreting findings, and communicating conclusions clearly to colleagues, management and external stakeholders. Sessions move deliberately from principles to application, so that each technique introduced is practised against a realistic problem before the programme moves on — strengthening both individual effectiveness and the wider capability of the organizations delegates return to.
