Chemicals are present in far more workplaces than most people realise: water treatment plants, hospitals, universities, factories, fuel depots, farms and cleaning contractors all hold substances that can burn, poison, corrode or react violently. Most incidents are traced back to ordinary failures such as poor labelling, unclear procedures, inadequate training and equipment left in poor repair, rather than to exotic hazards.
The Best Practices in Chemical Handling, Laboratory & Process Safety Training Course builds safe practice from the container upward. It opens with chemical hazard classes, toxicology basics and exposure limits, then moves to the practical routines of purchasing, receiving, storing, dispensing, transporting and disposing of chemicals. A laboratory module deals with design, ventilation, glassware, biological and chemical waste, and emergency equipment. The final sessions introduce process safety management, including how plants identify scenarios, protect against loss of containment, control changes and investigate near misses.
Teaching is highly practical. Participants inspect photographs and layouts of real stores and laboratories, rehearse spill and exposure responses, and work through a simplified HAZOP. They return to work with checklists, a risk assessment and a prioritised list of improvements for their own facility.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
The course is relevant to anyone who works with, supervises or regulates hazardous substances, including:

Participants who attend the sessions and take part in the practical drills and exercises receive a CPD-accredited Certificate of Completion issued by Vision Reach Global Consultancy. The certificate evidences training received and is not a statutory competence licence.
