Climate change is turning occasional extremes into routine workplace conditions, and employers who ignore them face injury, lost productivity and legal exposure. At the same time, psychosocial hazards such as excessive workload, poor support, violence and harassment are recognised as genuine health and safety risks. Both are hard to see with traditional paper-based systems because they are diffuse, seasonal and sensitive.
The Digital Transformation in Climate-Related and Psychosocial Workplace Risk Training Course applies digital methods to this combined challenge. Participants start by mapping climate and psychosocial hazards and the groups most exposed, then learn how to capture data through mobile forms, low-cost sensors, weather and heat index feeds, and structured surveys. They go on to build dashboards, define thresholds, automate alerts and link findings to controls, return-to-work support and reporting.
Because data about people's wellbeing is sensitive, the course gives equal weight to ethics, anonymity, consent and trust. Learning is practical: participants work with sample datasets and build a simple monitoring dashboard, then plan how to roll it out with managers and workers.
By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
