Projects are judged on the evidence they produce. Monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning, usually shortened to MEAL, gives teams that evidence and a way to act on it. Digital tools now make it faster and cheaper to gather information, but they do not fix unclear indicators or careless data entry. Staff entering the field often learn systems by trial and error, which leads to inconsistent definitions, missing records and reports nobody trusts.
This introductory programme lays solid foundations. Participants first learn the language of results: inputs, outputs, outcomes, indicators, baselines and targets, and how a logical framework ties them together. They then look at how data moves through a project, from collection on phones and tablets to storage, cleaning, analysis and reporting. A full day concentrates on data quality, covering the dimensions of quality, routine checks, spot checks and ways to correct errors at source.
The remaining sessions address accountability to affected populations, learning events and communication of findings through charts and dashboards. All content is taught with simple, widely available tools and short practical tasks that need no coding. Each participant ends with a starter MEAL plan and a first dashboard built from sample project data.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

On finishing all sessions and practical tasks, participants receive a Certificate of Completion issued by Vision Reach Global Consultancy. The certificate is CPD-accredited.
