Cloud platforms promise speed, elasticity and resilience, but they also introduce new complexity: dozens of services, shared responsibility for security, and spending that is variable and easy to lose track of. Teams that adopt tools without changing how they work often end up with expensive, fragile systems and frustrated engineers. The organisations that do well combine strong engineering practice with clear ownership, shared measures and cost awareness.
The Leadership and Performance in Cloud, DevOps, FinOps & Platform Engineering Training Course covers all four disciplines and, importantly, how they connect. Participants start with cloud foundations, networking, identity and landing zones, then automate environments with infrastructure as code. They build delivery pipelines, deploy workloads to Kubernetes and add security scanning, policy as code and secrets management. The programme goes on to reliability: monitoring, logging and tracing, error budgets, incident management and blameless reviews. In parallel, the FinOps module teaches tagging, allocation, showback and chargeback, rightsizing, commitment discounts and forecasting. Final days introduce platform engineering as a product, with self-service tooling for developers, and the leadership practices needed to run high-performing technical teams.
The course is lab-intensive. Participants provision real cloud resources, build and break pipelines, analyse billing data, and finish with a capstone in which they design a platform and improvement plan for their own organisation.
By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
The programme is aimed at experienced practitioners and leaders in technology functions, including:
Participants leave with both technical assets and management tools:
Over the ten days the programme balances laboratory practice with leadership discussion:
Vision Reach Global Consultancy issues a CPD-accredited Certificate of Completion to participants who attend the ten days and complete the labs and the capstone. It evidences substantial professional development time in cloud and engineering leadership.
