The Management of Crisis and Strategic Communication Training Course combines crisis management with communication strategy. Participants first learn how to identify and rank risks, set up a crisis management team and decide when an event becomes a crisis. They then move into message development, audience analysis, media engagement and digital response, always linking communication to operational decisions and legal considerations.
The course is simulation-heavy. Participants work through unfolding scenarios, produce real documents under time pressure and receive feedback on their performance as spokespersons. They leave with a crisis communication plan template and drafted materials ready to adapt for their own organisation. Because crises seldom respect job titles, the sessions mix communicators with operational, legal and executive colleagues so that the team learns to work as one.
