Every organisation runs on written communication. Instructions, approvals, proposals and decisions pass through emails, minutes and reports, and the quality of that writing decides whether people act promptly, act correctly or do not act at all. Staff who write well and record meetings reliably become trusted at every level, particularly as hybrid working makes writing the main channel of coordination.
The Planning and Implementation of Business Writing & Minute Taking Training Course treats both skills as processes that can be planned and improved. Participants begin by analysing readers and purpose, then learn to organise ideas with simple structures such as the pyramid approach, to draft with active verbs and short sentences, and to proofread systematically. Sessions then apply these methods to routine correspondence, executive summaries, formal reports, proposals and difficult messages. Minute taking is covered end to end: notice and agenda, quorum and apologies, listening and note-taking techniques, recording resolutions and actions, writing up, approving and filing, and following up after the meeting.
The course is workshop-driven. Participants write and rewrite their own samples, take minutes from recorded and live meeting simulations, and receive structured feedback on each piece.
At the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
