Energy prices, grid reliability and corporate net-zero commitments are pushing building owners to understand exactly how their premises perform. Offices, hospitals, hotels, schools and factories often waste a fifth or more of their energy through poor controls, oversized equipment and neglected maintenance, and that waste can be found with ordinary tools and a systematic approach.
This programme gives participants a repeatable method. They start by establishing a baseline from bills, meter readings and building data, then learn to benchmark against comparable buildings. Audit practice follows: inspecting cooling, ventilation, lighting, hot water, compressed air and the envelope, recording findings and sizing opportunities. The latter part of the week covers retrofit economics, on-site solar and storage, building management systems, behaviour change and the carbon accounting needed to describe progress honestly.
Each day mixes explanation with calculation. Participants work through data from real building types, use spreadsheet templates supplied for the course, and produce a prioritised list of measures with costs, savings and a phasing plan. The outcome is an approach that can be applied to their own portfolio straight away.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
The course is suitable for people who operate, design or advise on buildings, including:
Participants leave the course with:
The programme is deliberately applied, so participants practise the same steps an energy consultant would take. It uses:
Participants who take part in all sessions and complete the audit and roadmap exercises receive a CPD-accredited Certificate of Completion issued by Vision Reach Global Consultancy.
The baseline model, audit findings and decarbonisation roadmap produced during the week remain with each participant and can support CPD records or an internal energy management proposal.
