Workplace communication has moved into inboxes, chat threads and shared documents, which makes the written record more important than ever. A vague instruction, a missing deadline or an inaccurate account of a decision can cause delays, disputes and audit queries. Organisations of every size depend on staff who can write precisely and capture meetings faithfully.
Professional Business Writing and Minute Taking takes participants from the planning of a message through to the final edit, and from the preparation of a meeting to the circulation of its minutes. Writing sessions develop structure, vocabulary, tone and accuracy, and show how to adapt the same content for a director, a client or a technical colleague. Minute taking sessions explain the roles of chair and secretary, the legal and governance significance of minutes, and the techniques for noting discussion without transcribing it.
Participants write throughout the week. Each person edits real-style samples, drafts documents on workplace scenarios and takes minutes from recorded and live role-played meetings, receiving individual feedback so that improvements carry straight back to the office.
