Organisations have moved workloads to the cloud faster than they have built the practices to run them. The result is familiar: environments created by hand, deployments that depend on one engineer, security reviews that arrive after release and cost reports that nobody can explain. DevOps, site reliability engineering, FinOps and platform engineering each address part of this problem, but they deliver most when combined.

The Strategic Cloud, DevOps, FinOps & Platform Engineering Training Course brings the four disciplines together over ten days. The first week establishes the foundations: cloud architecture and landing zones, infrastructure as code, version control, CI/CD, containers and an introduction to Kubernetes. The second week goes deeper into production concerns: GitOps, observability, reliability engineering, DevSecOps, cost optimisation and governance, culminating in the design and build of an internal developer platform that gives teams a safe, paved route to production.

The course is lab-intensive. Participants work in cloud sandboxes, commit code, run pipelines, deploy to clusters, break and recover systems, and analyse a sample billing dataset. A capstone project in the final two days integrates everything into a platform proposal that is presented to a panel. Prior exposure to Linux, scripting and basic networking is expected.

On completing the ten days, participants will be able to:

• Design secure multi-account cloud landing zones with sound identity, network and governance foundations.
• Provision and manage infrastructure with Terraform modules, state and automated reviews.
• Build CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, artefact management and progressive delivery.
• Package applications in containers and deploy them to Kubernetes using Helm and GitOps.
• Implement monitoring, logging and tracing and define SLOs, error budgets and alerts.
• Integrate security scanning, secrets management and policy as code into pipelines.
• Apply FinOps practices including tagging, allocation, rightsizing and commitment planning.
• Design an internal developer platform with golden paths and self-service capabilities.

• Incident simulations that test monitoring and response
• A two-day capstone project with expert feedback
• Short design discussions on architecture choices and trade-offs

Participants who attend all ten days and complete the labs and capstone project are awarded a CPD-accredited Certificate of Completion issued by Vision Reach Global Consultancy.
