Moving to the cloud without discipline produces slow releases, fragile environments, security gaps and bills that grow faster than the business. Engineering leaders need a way to deliver quickly, safely and at a cost the organisation understands. This ten-day programme joins four disciplines that are usually taught apart.
The first week covers cloud architecture on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, networking, identity, Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, containers with Docker, and infrastructure as code with Terraform. The second week goes deeper into Kubernetes, Helm and GitOps, observability with Prometheus and Grafana, SRE practices such as service level objectives and incident response, DevSecOps scanning, FinOps tagging, budgeting, rightsizing and showback, and platform engineering with golden paths and self-service portals. A closing project integrates everything. It is intended for DevOps and cloud engineers, solution architects, site reliability engineers, software team leads, IT infrastructure managers, technical finance partners and CTOs. Delivery is through classroom sessions in major cities, online or in-house, with a CPD-accredited certificate. Afterwards you can design a pipeline-driven platform, define reliability targets, and run a cloud cost optimisation review.
Organisations in banking, telecoms, government and technology are moving workloads to public cloud and asking engineering teams to ship more often with fewer incidents. Tools are plentiful, but results depend on how they are combined: pipelines that test and deploy automatically, infrastructure defined in code, platforms that remove repetitive work from developers, and financial discipline that links spending to value.
This ten-day programme is arranged as a build-up. Participants begin with solid cloud foundations covering compute, storage, networking, identity and the shared responsibility model. They then establish engineering practice: version control, branching, automated testing, container images, pipeline design and infrastructure as code with Terraform. By the middle of the programme they are deploying applications to Kubernetes and managing releases through GitOps.
The second half addresses operating at scale. Participants implement observability, define service level objectives and error budgets, add security scanning and secrets management, and apply FinOps methods to allocate, forecast and reduce cloud costs. They then learn platform engineering principles, including internal developer platforms, golden paths and developer experience metrics. A capstone project asks teams to design, deploy and present a complete platform with cost and reliability controls.
By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
